Petalfrog’s #CBR4 Review #2: The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson

CoverThis book must be the most read book in airports over the last year. I’ve seen its distinctive yellow cover in more travelers’ hands than any other book I can remember. Which of course meant that I myself needed to read this on my own holiday travels! I had expected this novel to be along the lines of The Hunger Games trilogy, given that they are both trilogies, both have female protagonists, both have similar covers, both have movies coming out, and both are so ubiquitous. I was dead wrong, as this book is most certainly not a young adult novel, and could not be more different from the story and tone of The Hunger Games.

  1. Okay, one of my goals this year is to get past the first thirty pages. I’ve picked up this book twice and failed to get past that mark…but this is encouraging, great review! 🙂

  2. Oh, stick with it, @sunnywithahigh. Keep reading and see if you can’t get into it. Very worth it.

    Great review!

@sunnywithahigh — I agree with you. I normally read a book in under 5 days and it took me just that long to get through the first 50-100 pages. It’s worth it in the end I think.
