The Grace Hurricane’s #CBR4 Review #5: Flat Stanley, Flat Again! by Jeff Brown

Stanley, Flat Again cover(Grace is an 8-year-old junior cannonballer and her reviews are typed by her mom, Sara.)

This is the sixth Flat Stanley book. I like Stanley, Flat Again! because it has a weird body part in the story called the OBP, the Osteal Balance Point. The doctor tells him it’s a “little known anatomical feature,” and that’s what making Stanley flat. How his OBP got hit was when he was reaching for a book and his brother tossed a tennis ball at him to catch. He turned around to catch it, but the book he was grabbing fell on him at the same time the tennis ball hit him.

One of his classmates gets trapped in a collapsed building and Stanley was the only one to get her because he was the only flat person at half an inch thick, and if someone who wasn’t flat tried to wriggle through to where she was, the whole building could have collapsed. Flat Stanley saves her.

When he turns back to his original self, not flat, how that happens is when his classmate elbowed at the same time he got a pat on the back. Then, he was round again!

There are other books in this series too.

  1. Nice job, Grace! Bunnybean and Joemyjoe are loving these books, too. I think the next one on our list is when Flat Stanley visits Mount Rushmore. Lots of fun! Thanks for the review.
