Tag, you’re it!

Right now we’re tagging the posts with Pajibanames and other terms you Cannonballers determine. I propose that we also start tagging our posts with the author’s name. Then I could create a page on the blog for certain authors who appear frequently.

What do you think? What format should the tag be? (It can be two words.) Post your comment below.

And They’re Off!

As I write this, we already have a couple of reviews up, even a couple by our junior Cannonballers,  Bunnybean and The Grace Hurricane. Scroll around and check out what’s been going up this early on.

There are quite a few people who have not yet taken the last step in signing up and accepted the invitation to the group blog. You have to click “Accept Invitation” in the email you got from WordPress.com.

Accept Invitation button

Here’s a more detailed explanation of that. I’ll keep trying to resend invites, but I won’t be able to do that forever.

And if you haven’t gotten any emails from me or wordpress.com, everything might be heading into your spam folder, so drop me a line to work things out.

A couple of other housekeeping items:

Tagging – when you add your post, please tag it with your Pajibaname/nickname. You can also add other relevant tags: fiction, mystery, suspense, etc. The more tags, the better, but please add at least the nickname.

Blog titles – Please follow this format so I have your name, review #, book title and book author at a glance:

YourPajibaName’s #CBR4 Review #XX: Book Title by Book Author

(Adding the # symbol (a hashtag) before the letters “CBR4” will make it easier to tweet, because our Twitter hashtag is #CBR4 this year. )

Let me know if you have any problems or questions. Contact me or post them to the Facebook page. I may not be able to reply to you instantly, but I will be answering questions as promptly as I can.

Happy New Year!

Junior Cannonballers Welcome

A junior Cannonballer registered for Cannonball Read IV the other day. At 7 years old, Bunny Bean is the first youngster to sign up. Junior Cannonballers have no restrictions on length of review, and their parent can post their reviews.

Check out a couple of reviews from our junior participants in Cannonball Read 3. They are just adorable!

And by the way, a SEVEN-YEAR-OLD just signed up to read and review in 2012. If she can, so can you. Sign up today!

SPAM!

Check your spam folder every day for good email health!

Attention Cannonballers!

After you submitted your sign up form, you should have received an email from me, plus an email from wordpress.com inviting you to be an author on the blog.  (Once you sign up for WordPress, you still have to click “accept” on the invitation in that email.)

I still have a bunch of people who haven’t accepted that invitation. Did you get the email from me, welcoming you to CBR4? If not, check your Spam folders, please!

Time to RSVP

Blog author invites went out today. If you signed up before this morning, you should have received an email from WordPress.com inviting you to become an author here.

If you haven’t signed up yet, what are you waiting for?

It’s the first day that I’ve been taking sign-ups for the next Cannonball Read, and we already have over thirty participants! Thanks to everyone for signing up so quickly, it warms my heart.

Thanks to Ashley for suggesting we change from a Facebook group to a page instead. Those of you still members of the original group, and everyone else, please go to the new Cannonball Read page and ‘like’ it.  You don’t have to participate there, but if we get 25 likes we can get a neat custom address.

If you’ve already signed up, you’ll soon be getting your invitation to sign up for this blog. If you haven’t signed up, you know who you are. Sign up by the end of 2011 to get in the race!

Any questions? Drop me a line.

Sign-ups Are Open

SkarsgardReadr

Hello my darling readers! Welcome to the new blog for the fourth Cannonball Read, Pajiba’s race to read and review 52 books in a year. This year we have a sign up form, a FAQ page, and don’t forget the history of the Cannonball Read. Never forget!

We’re keeping the whole, half, and quarter levels again this time ’round, and we’re slightly changing the group blog in that you must post to the group blog. Either a link or your full review has to be posted here. Check out the FAQ for details.

So browse the site, send me any questions (or comment below), and then sign up! Technically that page is a survey, so to submit the information, click the “Finish Survey” button. (My apologies for the ads on the sign up form. You’ll only need to go to that page once.)

I’ll get in touch with you about your blog credentials so you can start posting right here. In the meantime, read, read, READ!!
